Can international visitors receive an online Mounjaro consultation while in Japan?
Yes. International visitors and overseas residents can request an online consultation while staying in Japan. Medical consultations are conducted in Japanese or English. Whether Mounjaro can actually be prescribed is decided by the physician after an individual assessment.
Can I book without a Japanese phone number?
Yes. If you do not have a Japanese phone number and cannot use Digisma, booking can be arranged through LINE. You will be asked for the LINE questionnaire, passport photo page, consent, and three preferred consultation times in Japan time.
How many months of Mounjaro can be prescribed?
The standard options are 1, 3 and 6 months. A six-month supply and the actual quantity prescribed require the physician’s medical judgment after consultation.
Can Mounjaro be delivered refrigerated to my hotel in Japan?
Domestic hotel delivery can be arranged. The patient should receive the medicine in person and confirm in advance that the hotel can accept and refrigerate the package. The clinic cannot guarantee hotel front-desk storage or temperature control.
Can Mounjaro be delivered anywhere in Japan?
Domestic delivery is available for all listed doses from 2.5 mg through 15 mg. Conditions depend on pharmacy stock, destination and timing. Remote areas and regions such as Okinawa, Hokkaido, Tohoku and Kyushu may require additional time.
Can 7.5 mg Mounjaro be delivered?
Yes. 7.5 mg is included in the doses eligible for domestic delivery and is not limited to in-store pickup. Stock and timing still need to be confirmed for each case.
Do I need to wait for an SMS or email from the pharmacy?
No. After the consultation and clinic-side payment are completed, you should book online medication counseling yourself through NiCOMS rather than waiting for a pharmacy message. Unless you were given a different pharmacy, select Nihon Chouzai Namba Pharmacy outside Okinawa and Nihon Chouzai Naha Chuo Pharmacy in Okinawa.
When can I pick up the medicine at the pharmacy?
After the consultation and clinic payment, the prescription is sent to the pharmacy. Pickup is generally possible from two days after the prescription is sent, and may be possible the next day when stock is available. The clinic does not individually confirm that preparation is complete.
Can the medicine be shipped directly outside Japan?
No. International shipping is not available. The patient must receive the medicine in Japan. Proxy pickup and airport pickup are also not supported.
Can I take Mounjaro back to Korea or another country?
The clinic cannot guarantee import permission or customs clearance in another country. Patients should check the destination country’s rules themselves. An English medication certificate may be available for JPY 1,000 when needed.
Can I pay cash at the pharmacy?
Cash is available for in-store pickup at Nihon Chouzai Namba Pharmacy. Credit cards, debit cards and several Japanese electronic payment methods are also accepted there. Cash on delivery can be available for domestic delivery.
Why are there separate clinic and pharmacy payments?
The published standard price is the tax-inclusive total including the consultation fee, but the clinic portion and pharmacy portion are paid separately. The two transactions are not duplicate billing.
Can you issue an English medication certificate?
An English certificate describing the prescribed medication may be available for JPY 1,000. It does not guarantee permission to import the medicine or pass customs in another country.
How early should I have the consultation before I need the medicine?
A consultation about one week before the desired receipt date is recommended, with at least four days as a general target. When possible, plan to receive the medicine at least two days before leaving Japan. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
Can I obtain medicine for a family member under my name?
No. Each person who will use the medicine needs their own consultation, questionnaire and consent. Medication cannot be prescribed under another family member’s identity for someone else to use.
