Receiving medicine
After prescribing, pharmacy medication counseling and pharmacy payment are required. Medicine must be received by the patient in Japan. Proxy receipt and direct international delivery are not supported. Stock and arrival dates are not guaranteed.
Complete medication counseling and delivery
through an SMS from the affiliated pharmacy
After your AURELIA ONLINE consultation and prescription, the affiliated pharmacy will normally contact you about medication counseling on or after the day following the consultation, by SMS or email.
Use the SMS to arrange the online medication-counseling appointment. The pharmacy then handles counseling, pharmacy payment, and delivery. In most cases, you do not need to register for NiCOMS yourself.
Before you begin
- Medication-counseling contact normally arrives on or after the day following the consultation by SMS or email. Same-day contact is not guaranteed.
- Email may be filtered into your spam or junk folder. Please check both your inbox and spam/junk folders.
- Use the SMS to arrange the online medication-counseling appointment. The pharmacy then handles counseling, pharmacy payment, and delivery. In most cases, you do not need to register for NiCOMS yourself.
What happens after your consultation

Receive an SMS from the affiliated pharmacy
The pharmacy normally contacts your registered phone number or email address on or after the day following the consultation. Check both SMS and email; if no email appears, check your spam or junk folder.

Arrange the counseling appointment
Reply through the SMS flow and agree on a time for online medication counseling.

Receive online medication counseling
The pharmacist explains how to use and store the medicine and reviews adverse effects.

Pay the pharmacy charges
Follow the pharmacy instructions to pay medication, dispensing, counseling, and delivery charges.

Receive the medicine by Sagawa Express
The pharmacy arranges shipment. Delivery time-window requests may be available.
When will the medicine arrive?
If the medicine is in stock and counseling and payment are completed early enough, same-day shipment and next-day delivery may be possible. If the medicine must be ordered, delivery may take several days. Confirm the actual shipment and arrival estimate in the pharmacy SMS or during counseling.
- Delivery is handled by Sagawa Express.
- A delivery time window can be requested.
- When processed through NiCOMS, the delivery fee is reduced from ¥650 to ¥300.
If you cannot receive SMS
Only patients who cannot receive the pharmacy SMS may be asked to register for NiCOMS themselves. International patients may provide their current non-Japanese phone number, but the number must be able to receive international SMS messages.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register for NiCOMS myself?
Normally, no. The affiliated pharmacy contacts you by SMS and manages scheduling, counseling, payment, and delivery. Self-registration may be required only if you cannot receive SMS.
Can I use a non-Japanese phone number?
Yes. You may provide your current local phone number, but please confirm that it can receive international SMS messages.
When will the medicine arrive?
If the medicine is in stock, same-day shipment and next-day delivery may be possible. If it must be ordered, delivery may take several days.
