When escalation may be delayed
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, or abdominal discomfort continues.
- Food or fluid intake is too low.
- Weight loss is very rapid, or weakness and dizziness occur.

Side effects and urgent signs
Digestive symptoms may reappear or become stronger after escalation. Seek urgent care for persistent severe upper abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, marked dehydration, jaundice, breathing difficulty, or altered consciousness.
